Beach & Coastal Views

One of the biggest attractions of Quay West is its location.

The park sits on top of the cliffs overlooking Cardigan Bay, providing spectacular coastal views. A woodland route leads towards the beach below the park.

Please be aware that the route to the beach is steep and may not be suitable for everyone. Haven specifically advises that the beach access is not suitable for wheelchair users.

Wildlife

Cardigan Bay is well known for its marine wildlife, particularly its population of bottlenose dolphins.

Dolphins can sometimes be seen from the coastline around New Quay, while organised boat trips provide another opportunity to look for dolphins, seals and other marine wildlife.

Cardigan Bay is also home to harbour porpoises and Atlantic grey seals and forms an important protected marine environment.

Accessibility

Quay West is a predominantly sloping and terraced park due to its clifftop location.

There is accessible parking and access to areas including reception, the main complex, shop and launderette. Haven identifies accommodation areas such as Monmouth and Teifi as being flatter and closer to the facilities.

The steep beach access means that the route down to the beach is not recommended for wheelchair users.
